Unconventional may be perceived as a woman in her mid thirties with an 8 year old girl, leaving her corporate recent promotion, the only town her 8 year old knew and a home away from home filled with many family of Christ members whom we love dearly... to move back home, live with and help care for her father.
It's been done before i'm sure of it. But conventional... probably not.
Then adding onto that in the months to follow a husband and a new born baby... all living snuggly (sometimes chilly) in the confines of the basement.
Some might call it crazy.
I call it what I was called to do.
God did not give us a spirit of fear and of timidity.
He calls us to be bold for Him. To fight the good fight of faith.
My relationship with Jesus Christ truly began to form about 10 years ago now... pregnant with a daughter that I thought I was going to name 'Gabriella'... until God clear as a bell said "You shall name her Grace".... um... wow... unmistakable audible voice of God speaking to me... let me tell you... it GETS your attention.
Unwed, unprepared but trusting that God had just spoken that word over me to daily remind me of His Amazing Grace. His Forgiveness. His decision to put Jesus on this Earth to spare all those who cry out to Him, who Repent, who Believe in His Holy Name as our Lord and Savior.
Grace. Grace is woven into every step of our day... every breath of our lungs. Every decision we make, every move we take. God's Grace is the only way this world still exists. And when comprehended to the best of our ability... to dive deep into the recesses of it's existence and meaning in our lives... is when Joy, irreplaceable... Joy, unattainable by no other means... Joy, exuberant.. rushes in and grabs hold of you. Lifts you high even on your darkest days. Remembering WHO God is... Why he chose to do what he did. For Us... His Beloved Ones.
Amen? Amen.
